RHOSLC: Lisa Barlow Throws Necklace Whitney Gifted Her in the Trash as Copycat Claims Heat Up: 'It Is Personal'

Lisa Barlow reveals her feelings for Whitney Rose.

In the episode of October 16 The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, the conversation continued about the validity of Whitney’s jewelry line. Whitney then revealed that she got a call from the hotel after the group’s trip to Milwaukee saying they found Whitney’s Prism brand necklace left behind.

“It was from Lisa Barlow,” she said after the video showed her in Lisa’s room. “Here’s the thing: I tried really hard for Meredith [Marks] that evening, why are you going because of my work?”

Heather Gay then said that Meredith wasn’t actually the one who started the story that Whitney’s jewelry brand Prism was resold by Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba, but Lisa.

“Lisa told Meredith, Meredith told me, I told you,” Heather revealed. “But it’s more than business stuff. It seems like you take it really personally.”

“Because it’s personal,” Whitney exclaimed. “This is my business, my brand. It’s not just something that popped up.”

Knowing that Lisa didn’t want to bring home the necklace and that she was the person who started the rumors about her line, Whitney began to speculate where Lisa’s anger came from.

“After Charles called me from Kinno, I started thinking ‘Lisa is vindictive,'” Whitney explained in her confessional. “She must still be mad at me about that podcast because why else would she throw the necklace I gave her in the trash?”

Whitney then told Heather that she realized she made a “mistake” when she lashed out at Meredith on the trip and got mad at Lisa for letting Meredith take the blame. Later in the episode, Whitney reached out to a friend to try and find proof that Lisa had also shared the rumors on social media.

“Adam is a casual friend of mine who’s also a podcaster and he’s friends with the person who runs the account who posted that Prisma’s jewelry comes from Alibaba,” she said. “So I asked Adam to reach into the account to see if he could find out who started the story because I have my suspicions but I need proof.”

“This information is coming from someone you’re close to,” Adam Whitney said by phone.

When Whitney asks if the account confirms it’s Lisa, Adam reveals that it’s the person in the group who owns the liquor brand – and the only person who knows is Lisa.

“On one hand it’s validation, but at the same time, I really didn’t want it to be true because it means I have a friendship that potentially was never real,” Whitney said.
