More than 27 years after getting married, Meredith Marks believes her bond with husband Seth is as strong as ever!
Talk to PEOPLE beforehand The The Real Housewives of Salt Lake CityAt the season four premiere on Tuesday, Meredith, 51, opened up about the state of her marriage and the couple’s new relationship podcast, Hanging by a thread, which should be launched in the coming weeks.
“It’s a relationship podcast, because we’re constantly hanging on by a thread, although I will say our relationship is better than it’s ever been,” she explained. “I think that all relationships are somehow constantly hanging in the balance. But it’s interesting to work together.”
“We already spend a lot of time together just because we travel so much, and a lot of times, he works all day from the same space I’m in,” she continued.

Working so closely could give the two of them “another element” to argue about, but Meredith insisted their arguments were minor.
“We haven’t had that many fights about it, but sometimes it’s like, ‘Well, you said you were going to work it out,'” she explained. “It’s an irritation. Nothing important.”
Meredith and Seth have hit it off since they tied the knot in 1996. The couple – who have children Reid, Chloe and Brooks – briefly separated during of RHOSLC season one, which the reality star then explained had to do with their drifting apart over time.
“Over the years, it just kind of broke down,” she said in the 2020 episode. the enmity was built and built and built, and we just got so completely overwhelmed that we were just completely shut out.”

The couple sought out a couples counselor who helped them realize that their marriage was worth fighting for. After coming out of therapy, Meredith said she and Seth felt “very strong, very united” and reinforced positive feelings about a future together.
“This is a tough one,” Seth said at a RHOSLC episode 2020 “I would like to have a life partner and a soulmate to share everything with. I hate being apart.”

While Meredith previously admitted that it was difficult for her to talk about her marriage and separation RHOSLClearning to verbalize her feelings and face problems head-on became useful in improving her communication with Seth.
“It sounds crazy, but The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City saved my marriage,” she told PEOPLE in 2020. “The show really makes you be very introspective and really think about the things you say and how they affect other people.”
