Because Mr Sharp sought to assist the Prime Minister with a personal financial matter, the report concluded that “there is a risk that Mr Sharp will be perceived as having been recommended for appointment” and/or “influencing the former Prime Minister for his recommendation”. informing him of his request before he endured it.”
