Rick Moranis spent a rare public outing in New York.
The actor, 71, who is beloved for his roles in classic films, was photographed strolling through Manhattan on Friday, November 15.
For the day out, Moranis was wrapped up to stay warm, wearing a brown jacket and dark brown gloves, a green hat, green and brown pants and brown shoes.
He completed his look with brown-rimmed glasses while carrying a black bag.

Rick Moranis seen out and about in New York ahead of his 71st birthday
Moranis, who hasn’t been seen in a feature film since the 1990s, first hit it big with his role in 1984. Ghostbustersin which he starred alongside Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and others.
He followed this up with a number of other popular films throughout the 80s and 90s including The Flintstones, Parenthood, Little shop of horrors and Honey, I cut back on the kids.
However, Moranis stepped away from Hollywood to raise his children after his wife, costume designer Ann Belsky, died in 1991.
Although he continued to appear in a few voice roles throughout the 2000s, Moranis has largely remained off-screen and out of the public eye, a decision he discussed with The Hollywood Reporter in 2015.
“I took a break, which turned into a longer break,” he told the newspaper at the time. “Things happen to people all the time, and people adapt, change careers, move to another city. Really, that’s all I’ve done.”
The actor also spoke about transitioning from a life of filmmaking to focusing on his children, saying he has no “regrets”.

“I worked with really interesting people, wonderful people. I went from that to being at home with a couple of young kids, which is a very different lifestyle. But that was important to me,” he told THR.
“I have absolutely no regrets. My life is wonderful,” added Moranis.
He announced this back in 2020 THR that the actor will reprise his Honey, I cut back on the kids role of Wayne Szalinski in the reboot opposite Josh Gad, titled decreased.
However, the film was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, scheduling and budget issues, Gad, 41, revealed in 2023. As of November 2024, it is still in pre-production, according to IMDB.

Earlier in June, Amy O’Neill, who played Moranis’ character’s daughter in the Baby, I cut back on the kids, spoke warmly about the time she spent with the actor.
“Rick was always warm yet respectful, always kind, professional and on his game. I’m so proud to call him dad,” she told PEOPLE.
