Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef have reached a settlement agreement, two months after the singer filed for divorce.
According to legal documents obtained by PEOPLE, the “Livin’ La Vida Loca” musician and painter have entered into an uncontested written divorce agreement.
Martin, 51, and Yosef, 38, just need a judge’s signature to finalize it.
Ricky Martin says he and ex Jwan Yosef are ‘better than ever’ after divorce: ‘We knew this had to happen’
Last month, Martin and Yosef announced they were divorcing in a joint statement shared exclusively with PEOPLE.
“We have decided to end our marriage with the love, respect and dignity of our children and respecting what we have experienced as a couple for all these wonderful years,” said the Puerto Rican superstar and the Syrian-Swedish artist.
“Our greatest desire now is to continue to have a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on peace and friendship in order to continue raising our children together, preserving the respect and love we have for each other,” continues the former couple, who share two children: daughter Lucia, born 2018 and a son, Renn, born in 2019. (Martin previously had twin sons Matteo and Valentino, born in 2008, whom he will continue to raise as a single parent.)
Martin and Yosef first connected on Instagram in 2015 and started dating six months later, after meeting in person for the first time in London. They made their romance official on the red carpet at the 2016 amFAR Inspiration Gala and announced their engagement the same year before tying the knot in 2018.

Shortly after revealing their divorce plans, Martin opened up Telemundo Puerto Rico to discuss the couple’s decision to separate and how they will continue together with daughter Lucia, 4, and son Renna, 3.
“Jwan and I will always be a family. We have two children to raise together,” said the Grammy-winning musician.
“This didn’t just happen. We planned this situation for a long time – before the pandemic,” Martin said of his divorce from Yosef, before describing how they decided to part ways. “We’ve been through ups and downs. We’ve cried together and we’ve laughed together.”
“When the public found out, we had already gone through a solid grieving process,” he added. “We knew this had to happen for our own sake and for the sake of our children. We’re better off than ever, and we’re single.”
