Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Celebrate Son RZA’s 2nd Birthday with N.Y.C. Bash

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky know how to celebrate their son on his special day!

For their older son RZA’s second birthday, the “Umbrella” singer, 36, and the “L$D” rapper, 35, threw a private party at the Color Factory in New York City on Saturday, May 11.

The couple’s younger son, 9-month-old Riot, was also in attendance, according to photos and videos shared by two party guests: producer President Hitkidd and his wife, makeup artist Jasmine B. Cook, or “Jazzy B.”

Taking to her Instagram account, Jazzy B revealed that RZA’s parents went all out with the party, which had toys, slides and even a ball pit, and showed off lots of fun decorations, which included the caption “RZA’s 2ND BIRTHDAY” and large cutouts of the child’s head.

The makeup artist, who brought her two children to the party, also shared a video of Rihanna, Rocky, RZA and Riot smilingly posing together for a family photo in front of a hot pink backdrop.

In the video, petals fell around the couple, who were photographed on the fake street “RZA Way,” with RZA on his dad’s lap and Riot on his mom’s.

Also in the video, Rocky pointed to the camera and told the celebrant (who looked pretty distracted by the celebration) to “look.”

In another clip shared by Jazzy B, the pair switched sides, with Rocky holding little Riot and Savage X founder Fenty holding RZA upside down.

As partygoers sang along to RZA’s “Happy Birthday,” the mom of two held her restless toddler, who was crawling on her lap, by the legs, playfully rocking him back and forth as everyone — including her rapper partner — they giggled.

Another clip from the party in New York shows Rihanna and Riot meeting Hitkid and Jazzy B’s oldest child, the toddler, who seemed a bit tired and unenthusiastic, the “Diamonds” singer gave the “Diamonds” singer a sweet hug.

“When you get mad at Rihanna for not dropping music anymore,” the kid’s dad, Hitkidd, jokingly captioned the video.

Captioning her own post, Jazzy B wrote: “Celebrating RZA 🎉 Man, do you know how to throw a party! We loved celebrating you. BIG 2! Slow down!”

Referring to pictures she and Rihanna took with their kids, she added, “Me and Rih just 2 BAD A– Fish moms with our 2 boys. I love it for us!”

Ahead of RZA’s second birthday, a music management source opened up to PEOPLE about his star parents’ life, noting that the couple’s “family comes first.”

“They’ve always had a strong friendship, and the romance only made it stronger,” the source added of the couple, who first met in 2012 and began dating in 2019.

Another source told PEOPLE that Rocky is “such a fun dad” and that Rihanna is “all about motherhood” and “loves” parenting Riot and RZA.

“She brings the kids on every trip, including business trips,” the insider said. “The kids come everywhere with her. She never complains about being tired. She just seems to love life.”
