Rihanna Gets Decked in Statement Coat, Mini Skirt and Piles of Pearls for Birthday Boat Ride in Venice

Rihanna welcomes her 36th year in style.

The fashion mogul and her beau A$AP Rocky jetted off to Venice to spend a few days together in the Italian city, and she wore a stunning look as they took in the sights.

She and the 35-year-old rapper were seen boarding a boat on Wednesday as they enjoyed a romantic — and private — tour of the city’s famous Grand Canal, with Rihanna dressed to impress for the occasion.

Rihanna caused major envy in a black fur-trimmed leather coat from Japanese designer Junya Watanbe’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection, with some standout details like a snakeskin print on the sleeves with rope detailing.

Under the oversize coat, she wore a cream-colored miniskirt with a white lace detail peeking out from under the hem. She also carried two different Dior bags for going out, a black Lady Dior bag and a vintage saddle bag from the fashion house’s Fall/Winter 2004 collection. John Galliano’s mink eel satchel perfectly matched the white fur look of her coat, tying the whole look together .

The “Lift Me Up” singer completed the look with a string of long pearls around her neck, a pair of oversized hoops also adorned with pearls and a pair of Gucci sunglasses. Her shoes, Alaïa ballet flats that retail for $1,250, matched the look of her jewels and the white she wore underneath her dramatic coat.

A$AP Rocky also pulled out all the stops in style for the date, as he wore a three-piece suit with a gray gingham shirt and matching tie and a pair of sunglasses.

She has already been spotted wearing the brand, as the brand shared on its Instagram account in December. She was out and about in LA wearing a multi-strand pearl necklace paired with a see-through lingerie top and baggy blue jeans under a black crop top lined with faux fur. A pair of black creeper sneakers from her Fenty x Puma collaboration completed the glamorous street chic look.

During her and A$AP Rocky’s outing on Wednesday, they enjoyed a boat ride through the city of love, and later visited a glass factory on the island of Murano — which Venice is famous for.

They shared a few kisses while on the boat and the hip-hop artist was seen standing at the back of the boat laughing and smiling with his hands in the air.

The couple, who have been together since November 2020 and have two sons, have been out and about a lot recently. They enjoyed a romantic night out together in Paris on Valentine’s Day and were all smiles as they were seen heading to dinner at César in the French capital.

Rihanna looked as chic as ever for an evening date in a champagne colored silk skirt which she teamed with a tan faux fur trimmed top with ruffles down the middle. She completed the look with a fur bag and champagne strappy strappy heels.

Her rapper boyfriend also looked dapper in a pair of tan trousers and a matching jacket.
