Rishabh Rajendra Pant is an Indian left-handed batsman and wicket-keeper. He is often described as the new Mahendra Singh Dhoni due to his good wicketkeeping abilities and aggressive batting style.

Rishabh was born on October 4, 1997, in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India (age 27; as of 2024). However, his roots can be traced back to Roorkee in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. He was educated at the Indian Public School, Dehradun. He studied at Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi, New Delhi. Rishabh always dreamed of becoming a cricketer and admired Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist. At the age of 12, he moved from Ruki to Delhi to receive expert coaching in cricket.
When he joined Sonnets Club, his childhood coach Tarak Sinha gave him a suggestion to move to Rajasthan to get more cricketing opportunities and exposure .

Rishabh has represented Rajasthan at the U-14 and U-16 levels. When he played for Rajasthan, he had to face discrimination, being treated as an outsider and eventually being kicked out of the academy. After all the abuse, he fled from Rajasthan to Delhi to save his cricketing career. He started playing several age-level games for Delhi and made his debut for Delhi in 2015. When he started playing for India A, the team was coached by Rahul Dravid. Dravid spent more time practicing with Rishabh, helping him improve his batting skills.
In 2016, he started playing for Delhi Daredevils, who hired him at a base price of Rs 19 million against a base price of Rs 10 lakh. His performance in the U19 World Cup (2016) was a turning point in his life. He made his international ODI debut against England in Nottingham on 18 August 2018, one international ODI debut against West Indies in Guwahati on 21 October 2018, and one international ODI debut against West Indies in Bengaluru on 1 February 2017. England’s international T20 debut.

- He is the second Indian to score the highest score (267) in the U-19 World Cup (2016) in Bangladesh.
- He made the fastest century (18 goals) in the Under-19 World Cup (2016).
- He is the third youngest Indian player and the fourth player to score a triple century in first-class cricket against Maharashtra in the Ranji Trophy (2016-17) Scored 308 points.
- He holds the record for scoring the fastest century in the Ranji Trophy (48 goals) against Jharkhand (2016).
- He is the first Indian player to take 7 catches in his first over as a wicket-keeper in Tests (2018) and the sixth highest.
- The first Indian batsman to score six runs in his first bat on Test debut (2018) and the 12th overall player.
- The first Indian wicketkeeper to hit a century in England.
- He was the first Indian wicketkeeper to score a hundred in the fourth innings of a Test (2018).
- On the final day of the first Test match between India and Australia, Mitchell Starc (December 10, 2018) broke the world with his 11th catch in a Test record.
- Pant equaled the record held by England’s Jack Russell and South Africa’s AB de Villiers.

- At around 5:30 am on December 30, 2022, he was driving his Mercedes GLE car on the Delhi-Haridwar Expressway and his car hit the guardrail of the expressway. His car spun around a few times and then it burst into flames. Haridwar (rural) police chief Kishor Singh said,
After hearing a loud noise, nearby villagers and local police rushed to the scene and pulled him out of the car. He was then taken to nearby Dehradun hospital. “
- In July 2023, he joined Sun Pharma’s initiative to thank the doctors who treated him after he was seriously injured in a road accident on December 30, 2022. Rishabh Pant mentioned in his Instagram bio that his second birthday is on January 5, 2023, to express his gratitude to those doctors.
