Two plays set in Philadelphia will soon meet: Abbott Elementary School and It’s always sunny in Philadelphia!

It’s always sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney, 47, revealed the crossover event between the two shows on social media on Thursday, October 3 after sharing some photos with Quinto Brunson and other stars from both their shows while on the set of the ABC sitcom.

On Instagram and Xu (formerly known as Twitter), McElhenney shared a photo of himself and actor Charlie Day with Brunson crouching in front of an outdoor set Abbott Elementary School school. The trio could be seen sporting sunglasses as McElhenney flashed a peace sign to the camera.

Along with the photo, he wrote on Instagram: “Oh. Hello.”

The actor also shared a larger photo of the cast featuring himself, Day and Brunson It’s always sunnyis Danny DeVito and Abbott starring Tyler James Williams and William Stanford Davis. The group could be seen posing for a photograph with their arms crossed near the school gates. In the photo, the sign “Willard R. Abbott Public School” could be seen on the building.

This comes after McElhenney teased a possible series collaboration on social media, noting that it would make sense since they’re both set in the City of Brotherly Love, according to Diversity.

Brunson also previously hinted at a crossover episode in between Abbott and another appearance at Comic-Con in July, but he was tight-lipped about details at the time.

“We’re going to do an interesting crossover this season … but I’m not going to tell you with who or what or where or when or how,” Brunson said at the time. “But it’s really exciting and I think it’s going to change television as we know it.”

She told later Diversity she loved watching the Disney Channel crossover episodes that brought in the cast It’s so Raven, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and Hannah Montana together, and she wanted to bring something like that into her projects.
