On December 20, 2023, an FIR was filed against Robin Jindal for allegedly raping a woman on the pretext of marriage, sparking a controversy. The case was registered at the MIG police station in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, based on a complaint from a 35-year-old woman, who claimed to be Jindal’s live-in partner. According to her, Jindal initially promised to marry her but gave up after the physical contact. Investigating police officer Sachin Arya said of the case in an interview:
