Robin Thicke’s son is a star in the making.
On Thursday, Paula Patton shared an impressive video of her and Thicke’s 13-year-old son Julian Fuego performing a solo during his school choir concert.
In the clip, Julian takes center stage during the choir’s rendition of “Lean on Me,” adding his own fervor to the iconic song as his classmates continue to sing along behind him.
“This was the best birthday present ever 🎁💝,” wrote Patton, who filed for divorce from Thicke in 2014.

Robin Thicke praises son Julian, 13, for starring role in school musical: ‘I didn’t cry’
Last month, Julian took to the stage again playing Patrick Star in the school’s musical production Sponge Bob SquarePants.
“My son, Julian Fuego Thicke was Patrick Star in SpongeBob the Musical!!! I didn’t cry, you cried! 🥲🎤🤯🙏❤️,” Thicke, 46, wrote on Instagram while sharing a video montage of photos of his son with family members, including Thicke’s mother, singer Gloria Loring, and Julian’s younger sister, Mia Love, 5, who the singer shares with his longtime girlfriend April Love Geary.
Thicke and Geary also have a daughter, Lola Alain, 4, and a son, Luca Patrick, 2.
The post also included several clips of Julian performing on stage during the show. He sported pink make-up on his cheeks and matching hairspray in his hair as he portrayed the famous underwater starfish from the hit Nickelodeon series.
Thicke’s eldest child’s musical talent is nothing new for the father of four. Last year on The Jennifer Hudson Show, he said that Julian “got a gift” when it came to music.
He said Julian “started singing from a very early age”, adding: “I would give him everything I could.”
“He’s a natural singer and he just got the lead in the high school play,” Thicke said at the time, noting that Julian was set to play Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. His role as Patrick Star in this year’s musical was just a continuation of last year’s lead role.
The “Close to You” singer also said that his son started “playing the guitar a little” at that time and that he wanted him to “write his own songs”.
“It’s really his journey and his life,” he continued. “I encourage him more to be himself and love himself.”
