Rohit Kumar arrested in dowry death case
Rohit Kumar was arrested from Colaba in Mumbai on October 21, 2016, three days after his wife Lalita committed suicide. He was taken into police custody and Chillar’s two-day detention ended on October 25, 2016, when he was produced before a Metropolitan Magistrate, who remanded him to judicial custody until November 8. After investigation, the police found a two-hour audio message and a 25-minute video recorded before Lalita committed suicide, in which she claimed that her in-laws were harassing her over minor issues.
