Florida rapper Rollie Bands was fatally shot over the weekend after challenging his opponents to meet him at his residence. The incident happened minutes after Bands wrote a statement on social media to his opponents. The text read:
“Many of these people know about my stay at Fr. I sleep easily. If the an**ga wants to smoke, I’ll be in my crib in five minutes. A short time later, authorities received a call informing them that a man had been shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex. It was later determined that it was the parking lot in front of Bando’s house when his assailants shot the young artist.
However, the alleged attacker left the area. According to police reports, as soon as the authorities arrived at the scene, the rapper was taken to a nearby hospital, where he tragically died from his injuries. According to Fox 13 reports, Bands was allegedly followed all the way home and shot outside his apartment. According to detectives, initial findings indicate that Bands knew the suspect well. Rollie Bands, who grew up in Tampa, Florida, was a prominent hip-hop musician known for songs such as Struggle, Close Ties and many more. Being active on social media, he had more than 5,400 followers on Instagram.

This is not the first time rivals have killed a hip-hop musician. KTS Dre was killed in Chicago outside Little Village Cook County Jail in July 2021. The 31-year-old rapper was shot by two gunmen while being released from prison. Similarly, Supa Gates was recorded in April 2021 in St. John’s Place. The killer(s) of the Rollie Bands have not yet been identified, and no one has yet been arrested in the case.
