Ronda Rousey talks about her life in and out of the public eye. The UFC and WWE champion has exclusively shared the cover of her upcoming memoir, Our fight, with people. The book will be published next year in April. “I’ve been quiet for the last few years because there was more to say than could ever be conveyed in an interview,” Rousey says in a statement to PEOPLE. “Our fight is all I wanted to fit in the title, but I just couldn’t. My story in my words. It took me years to summarize all the answers.”Our fightwhich is Rousey’s second book after 2015 My fight/Your fight, will detail the inside story of Rousey’s professional career. Beginning in mixed martial arts, Rousey won the 2008 Olympic bronze medal in judo, becoming the first American woman to win a medal in the event. Rousey also became the first UFC champion — carrying the nickname “Rowdy” — and helped pave the way for other women in the sport.

The book will also touch on life after retiring from professional fighting. Rousey left the UFC in 2016. She has since become an actress, starring in films such as The Expendables 3, Furious 7 and Charlie’s Angelsand the debut season of the reality TV series, Stars on Marsin which Rousey and other contestants competed against each other on a simulated version of Mars.
Rousey also writes about her journey to motherhood. She and her husband, former UFC fighter Travis Browne, welcomed their daughter, La’akei Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, in 2021. ,” Rousey told PEOPLE in 2023.
