Fearne Cotton and Jesse Wood are going their separate ways.
On Friday, December 13, Cotton, an English broadcaster, podcast host and author, announced that she and Wood, the musician son of Rolling Stone rocker Ronnie Wood, had split.
“It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that Jesse and I are ending our marriage,” Cotton, 43, wrote on a black background on her Instagram Stories.
“Our priority was and always will be our children. Please respect our family’s privacy at this time,” she concluded.
Wood (48) has not spoken publicly about the divorce. A representative for the musician did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The son of Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood married the daughter of Iron Maiden guitarist Steve Harris at a wedding in London!
Cotton and Wood married in 2014 and have two children together: son Rex, 11, and daughter Honey, 9. Wood also shares son Arthur, 22, and daughter Lola, 19, from his previous marriage to Tilly Wood.
Wood continued to post about Cotton on her birthday in September. At the time, he shared two cute photos of the pair together and captioned the images: “❤️Happy birthday to the one I love ❤️ @fearnecotton 🙋🏼♀️.”
He also took to Instagram to mark their 10th wedding anniversary in July.
“Happy 10th wedding anniversary to my beautiful wife!!❤️ if Victoria & Goldenballs can do it, so can we haha!😉,” Wood wrote.
Meanwhile, Cotton — who recently underwent surgery to remove a benign tumor — last posted about Wood on his birthday on Instagram in October. In July, she celebrated their wedding anniversary on social media.
“If it’s good enough for the Beckhams,” she began her Instagram post. “And it’s our wedding anniversary. 10 years today. We’re back in wedding outfits (not purple) and @jessejameswood can’t find shoes.”

In 2021, Cotton spoke about her marriage to Wood in an interview with red magazine.
“We’ve been together for over 10 years and I don’t want to get sick, but we’re probably more in love than we’ve ever been,” she said at the time.
Cotton added: “We’re in a good place – always a bumpy place, but a good place.”
Meanwhile, in 2018, she wrote a column for the outlet and opened up about the difficult situation they were going through, according to HELLO!.
“Love takes hard work – and no one wants to hear that. This year, Jesse and I hit a rough patch – he’s been away, he’s been touring relentlessly,” she said of Wood, who was previously a member of British band Reef. “I was trying to maintain my career while taking care of our kids and we both clung desperately to our marriage.”
