Rony David Raj made his debut as an actor in 2006 with the Malayalam film Pachakuthira. In 2007, he played the role of Nadeshan’s gang member in the film Chotta Mumbai. He gained recognition after playing the role of Naik Sasi in the film “Kurukshetra” (2008).

He played the role of Eeshwar in the movie Cool Dad (2009). In 2010, he appeared in the movie “Sakudumbam Shyamala” with Kunchako Boban. In 2014, he played a quarreling husband in the Malayalam film Samsaaram Aarogyathinu Haanikaram. The film is also made in Tamil. Rony became a household name after playing the role of Chacko Sir in the film Aanandam (2016).

In 2021, he played the role of SI Suresh in the movie Roy starring Suraj Venjaramoedu. In 2023, the actor starred in the crime thriller Kannur Squad alongside Mammootty. He plays the role of CPO Jayakumar P. Vasu, also known as Jayan, in the film. He also co-wrote the film’s screenplay.
