Rose Ayling-Ellis’ new BBC documentary leaves viewers emotional

New BBC documentary by Rose Ayling-Ellis, Signs of changeaired on Monday night and received much praise from viewers, they were quite emotional.

The EastEnders actress, who won the Serious Award in 2021, starred in a film that challenges the perception of the deaf community and gives audiences insight into the deaf experience. .

The film chronicles Rose’s life as she performed in a Shakespeare play As you like in London’s West End and think of her Serious won with Giovanni Pernice.

She also shared her personal experience growing up deaf and talked to her parents about raising a deaf child. In the meantime, the star also meets members of the deaf community and employees of charities.

Viewers were deeply moved by the documentary, with one tweeting: “What a touching and emotional documentary”, while another added: “Oh my God. Wow Rose , I have no words to describe how brilliantly, powerfully and tenderly you transcribed your message and I am deeply moved to find her.”

Other fans showed their appreciation for Rose for challenging the perception of deafness with an informative documentary. Taking to Instagram ahead of the film’s premiere, Rose encouraged her followers to take on the “most personal project” she’s ever worked on.

“We spent a year making this documentary and now it’s open to the public,” the 28-year-old began. “This is probably the most personal project I’ve ever worked on. I want to be open-minded to hopefully change things for the better.

“We are assuring many families that they are not alone in this. We are spreading the awareness that we have waited too long, rather than repeating ourselves in the years to come.
