How’s the tour going?

Jimbo: The tour was amazing. Constant realization of the dream. They were full houses every night, and so much incredible energy and love and just excitement.

What is your main goal with the new show?

Jimbo: I just want to make people laugh. I really want to invite people to see my point of view. And I love character work and there were a few characters that really resonated with people in my time Drag Race. And so I wanted to bring these characters that people loved into the show and then kind of give them another little environment to live in and give the audience a little more time with them. And so we shed some light on Shirley. It was an evolution in a way for all the characters. So the intention is really just to make people laugh, excite people, raise the expectations of a drag show and come to a one-man show.

You were a clown artist long before you Drag Race days. What does it mean to share that art form with the masses?

Jimbo: It’s amazing. And clowning is one of those things. It kind of informs what I’m doing, and it’s that magical thing that people know sometimes, if you’re familiar with a clown. If you’re not familiar with the clown, you’re watching it go, there’s something going on here that I really like. I don’t know what it is. It’s usually the clowning that people identify with. It’s really about connecting with your audience and actually serving your audience while having a laugh and relaxing at the same time.

What a life of victory All stars?

Jimbo: I’m basically a workaholic and I’m a dreamer and a storyteller. And those three things came together in the most amazing way that allowed me to dream big and make those big dreams come true and tell big stories and have new paths and connections for even bigger opportunities and stories. That’s why this win was so amazing. I got to share this win with fans around the world. There were so many people cheering for me and when I was traveling around after so many people said they watched and screamed that night and felt like it was a win for them too. They cheered me on at the previous two competitions as well. It was so magical to share it with people. And I get so many people saying that they relate to my art and allow themselves to be a little more themselves by looking at my work. So, it’s all a product of this platform and winning that show and Mama Ru and Drag Raceand it’s all so amazing, just a dream.

Did the success surprise you?

Jimbo: I’ve always kind of dreamed. I told my partner, Brady, I said, “One day I’m going to be a famous clown.” I said, “I don’t know how.” I said, “I don’t know where, but I’m going to be a world-famous clown.” He trusted me. He is. He said, “Okay, we’ll see what happens when that happens.” So yes, I definitely envisioned and manifested this and worked hard for it.

You are the queen of big breasts. Have you ever considered releasing your own line of armor?

Jimbo: I was in talks with the factory, and then we had to put it on the back burner because of everything that’s going on with this.

Are you and RuPaul still in touch since your win?

Jimbo: We just missed each other, but I’m hoping to… I’ll go to her book launch in Vancouver when she’s there. So I hope I can wave to her and say hi.

What is RuPaul like off camera?

Jimbo: I would say he’s very professional and kind and just a normal person who just lives his life doing his thing. It is very warm. I ran into her once in a parking lot in just one second, and it was great. I love seeing Ru. But no, I would like to see Ru and hang out sometimes.

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Winner Jimbo on Her Historic Win: ‘I’m on Top of the World’ (Exclusive)

You’re in All stars like a winner. What was your game plan?

Jimbo: I said it’s kind of like a retreat university. I went and competed in three competitions, three countries, three years. And every time I went, I learned something and I started as a costume and set designer for film and theater. My background was in organizing costumes and representing groups of costumes, so I had that in my back pocket. That really helped me. And I took advantage of that. And then I kind of accepted the criticism. I fixed my makeup. I went back and looked at my performance, and every time I went back, I tried to come back with a new point of view. And the last time I went, I just wanted to have a good time. I just wanted to show my best and not get too wrapped up in the psychosis and just enjoy it. And I did that. I said I didn’t come to race. I came on a cruise and I cruised.
