Ruth made the decision to get rid of the equipment before Eamonn had a chance to collect every last item with friends saying posh Ruth couldn’t resist the chance to get revenge on her former partner.
Eamonn has been openly flaunting his new relationship with 42-year-old Katie Alexander for weeks, while Ruth has remained composed and dignified following the very public split.
He was even seen parading his new partner around in Ibiza last week while confined to a wheelchair in another over-the-top public display of affection by the couple.
However, Ruth was reportedly delighted to finally be rid of the wheelchair-accessible stairlift before he returned to collect the last of his belongings from their Surrey mansion.

Eamonn used £2,000 worth of equipment to maneuver up the couple’s curved staircase to get upstairs.
Insiders told the Mail that Ruth was not at home when Eamonn arrived to collect his belongings, but she also did not tell him that the stairlift had been thrown in advance.
A source told the publication: “Ruth has remained quiet and elegant.
“Even when people mention what Eamonn was up to, she stays silent and just smiles. He thinks it’s the best way.
“But one thing she would see every day was the staircase Eamonn put up. Ruth doesn’t need it.
“She’s super fit and healthy, but she knew Eamonn would probably struggle when he had to go home to get something he needed for his holiday.

“The bedrooms are upstairs and he had to get to them.
“It might seem trivial, but Ruth’s friends think it’s absolutely hilarious because they think he really gave her a ride. You can imagine how furious Eamonn was.
“He probably expected to be able to use the stair lift to get his things and quickly get out again and pack for his holiday.
“It was humiliating for her to see Eamonn and Katie together – and that was before the gruesome photos while they were on holiday.

The Sun has contacted representatives for Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes for comment.
The stair lift was first installed on the couple’s property in January 2023 during his recovery from a slipped disc and dislocated pelvis that caused severe back pain.
Rylan Clark previously posted a fan video showing the staircase in action shortly after Eamonn’s surgery.
It showed the former Big Brother presenter climbing and descending Eamonn and Ruth’s lavish spiral staircase.
Just last week, The Sun told how Ruth had called in a tough divorce lawyer following her split from Eamonn.
