Madocβs supporters offered her prayers and well wishes in the aftermath of the event. She was in another accident three years ago, when a tumble on stage injured her femur and sent her to the hospital for a few days.

Madoc was born on April 16, 1943, in Norwich, England, and attended RADA in London. She began her career with a few films before receiving notoriety for her appearance in the program Poem and Pints. Ruth was well-known for her theater performances, in which she portrayed a variety of parts in numerous plays and musicals.Β She was cast as Gladys Pugh in the BBC comedy Hi-de-Hi!. Hi-de-Hi!, created by Jimmy Perry and David Croft, ran for nine seasons and 58 episodes from January 1, 1980, to January 30, 1988.
This Is Your Life, a biographical television documentary, portrays Ruthβs life. She later featured on a couple of reality series before winning Iβm Famous and Frightened! She went on to star in a number of additional TV programs and theatre productions. Ruth Madoc was also noted for her roles in other programs such as Big Top, Coming Home, and others.
