Ryan Bingham Has Filed A Petition To Have His Ex-Wife’s Middle Name “Axster” Removed

Ryan Bingham, musician turned actor, has officially changed his name from Ryan Axster Bingham to George Ryan Bingham. The Yellowstone actor has decided to drop the last name “Axster”, which is the maiden name of his ex-wife Anna Axster. Bingham and Axster divorced in June 2021, which may explain why the male singer-songwriter wants to officially change his name. However, according to his petition, there is no explanation behind the name change, other than that he “wants to return to using [his] my birth name”.

Ryan Bingham is famous for his outstanding musical and acting career. He became famous for his role in the long-running television series Yellowstone, in which he played Walker, a farm worker who was once a prisoner.

Ryan Bingham, who is considering reverting to his original name as his legal name, plays a character in Yellowstone who grew up in similar circumstances to the actor. While it’s not known if he wants to return to his roots, the actor told Vanity Fair that growing up suited him for the role of Walker. He grew up in New Mexico and Texas, where his uncles rode bulls and his grandfather was a rancher, he claimed.

The actor continued:

“In our family, the junior rodeo is like Little League.”

Bingham also notes that when he was younger, he enjoyed wearing cowboy hats and listening to country music. Walker, his character, is a former prisoner who comes to work at Yellowstone’s Dutton Ranch. Walker took the job on the farm to show that he’s serious about working hard and making the right decisions in his life.

He falls in love with Laramie (Hassie Harrison) and fights with his farmmate Lloyd (Forrie J. Smith). Lloyd and Walker argued for so long, Lloyd destroyed Walker’s instrument and hurled a knife at him in the chest. Ryan Bingham’s character Yellowstone is, like him, a music enthusiast who loves to sing and play the guitar. At the farm, he entertains people and expresses his creativity through songs. Bingham, who has appeared in four seasons of Yellowstone, is likely to return for a fifth season, which begins November 13, 2022.

Ryan Bingham, a musician, was cast as Walker in Yellowstone.

In an interview with Pop Culture, Bingham mentioned the unusual method he approached for the project. When Ryan revealed his equestrian past to Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan, who later played the role for the musician. Bingham recalled meeting Sheridan while he was writing and directing the film Wind River. Taylor approached Bingham about writing a song for the film, and although the singer couldn’t think of anything, the two kept in touch.

When Yellowstone was just getting started, Taylor approached Bingham about composing a song or re-using one of his earlier songs.

Then he said:

“And after a while, he discovered that I had experience with horseback riding and cowboys. ‘Damn, I have to put you on this show,’ he said. And that’s how it all started.”

Ryan Bingham will have a trial in December to determine whether he can continue to use the name George Ryan Bingham.
