Sabrina Carpenter Shares Her NSFW New Year's Resolution: 'Gonna Be Really Hard'

Sabrina Carpenter has a NSFW New Year’s resolution.

On Thursday, Jan. 2, the “Espresso” singer took to Instagram to share her goal for 2025 — and it looks like she’s already accomplished it.

“New Year’s resolution, no more dick jokes, it’s going to be really hard,” Carpenter, 25, captioned a carousel of pictures from the cozy winter break.

Fans were quick to point out her clever caption. “The fact that you’ve already lost your resolution just by writing this I-,” wrote one. “help her make one in the caption i’m crying,” another fan commented. “brilliant play on words with the title,” a third applauded her.

The “Please Please Please” singer’s Instagram post included photos with friends in the snow with ski lifts in the background, cozy tables and puzzles. Carpenter posed in a blue dress covered in glittery snowflakes and a HelloKitty snowsuit.

Carpenter – who is up for six Grammys this year, including album of the year, album of the year and song of the year – is known for her cheeky lyrics.

Her longtime vocal coach Eric Vetro told PEOPLE in December that he wasn’t surprised when she started writing sexy lyrics. “She always had a fun sense of humor that was generally a little risqué,” Vetro said. – It didn’t surprise me because it didn’t all happen at once.

He recalled the first time he saw Carpenter on stage and was shocked by “how charismatic and confident she was.” “She would strut around the stage like she was an old pro, and she was 16, 17 at the time.”

Over time, the “cheesy” lyrics of Carpenter’s songs became more present, and Vetro says it didn’t shock him. “She rides that line very, very well,” he explained, noting that she remains “classy.”

“She never falls for anything that’s trashy… It’s sexy and fun, all the allusions.”
