Sachin Sanjay Dhas was born on Thursday, February 3, 2005 (age 19 years as of 2024) and hails from Beed, Maharashtra. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. Sachin grew up playing cricket with his father Sanjay Dhas, who decided before his son was born that he wanted to be a cricketer. Sanjay named him after legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar so that he could relate to him while growing up. At the age of 4, he joined the Adarsh Cricket Academy and started training under coach Sheikh Azhar.
He studied HSC in Science and scored 88%. He secured 76% marks in the SSC examination. As of 2024, he is in his first year of college, pursuing a science degree.

Initially, Sachin Dhas played for the district team in Beed. He completed his maiden century with an unbeaten 156 while representing Beed’s U-14 team in the Invitational Trophy held at Shinde Academy in Pune. He helped Bede chase down the target when the team was struggling at 38-6. His impressive performance led to his inclusion in the Maharashtra U-14 team. Thereafter, he played for all age-group teams (U-14, U-16 and U-19) in the Maharashtra domestic team. In the 2023/24 season, Sachin Dhas showed outstanding performance in various competitions. He was part of the Venu Mankad Trophy winning team of Maharashtra. He played 9 games in the tournament and scored 440 runs, including 3 fifties and 1 100 runs.
In the Challenger Cup, Das played 4 games and scored 244 points with an impressive average of 61 points. In the Asian Cup, he played 2 innings and scored 74 runs, including 5 fours and 3 sixes. He is part of the Kolhapur Tuskers team in the Maharashtra Premier League 2023. He represented the India U19 B team in the Men’s Under-19 One-Day Series at Quad 2023. In one match of the series against England, he scored a hundred and seven runs but his team lost by three wickets. In the Quad series, he played 7 games and scored 294 runs with 22 fours and 15 sixes.
He has been named in India’s squad for the 2024 ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup. On February 2, 2024, Dhas (116) and Uday Saharan (100) combined for 215 runs for the fourth wicket as India defeated Nepal by 132 runs. He hit 11 boundaries and 3 sixes. He was recognized as the best player of the game.
On February 6, 2024, he came into the limelight during the semi-final against South Africa at Willowmore Park in Benoni. Sachin teamed up with captain Uday Saharan for a record fifth wicket partnership and turned the tide of the match on 172 runs. U19 Cricket History. When Sachin took to the field, India was chasing 245 runs and had lost 4 wickets in 32 runs. Sachin scored 96 off 95 balls while Uday held on to score 81 off 124 balls to lead India to a two-wicket win. He landed some phenomenal pulls, including a short-arm jab.

- His parents were both athletes in their day. They are state level kabaddi players. Apart from this, his father Sanjay played cricket till the college level.
- Sanjay Dhas and Sheikh Azhar faced difficulties in training Sachin in the past due to the lack of turf wickets for Beed. Around 2011, Das and Hazard borrowed money to set up six turf wickets. However, they struggled to maintain turf wickets due to drought in the area. They used to purchase water tanker services for maintenance every two to three days. Azhar recalled the struggle in an interview and said:
The water crisis in Beed is serious. Every two or three days I call for a water tanker (2000 liters). We used to collect money, so these little gates remain to this day. Around 50 kids from different age groups have trained under me and the number has doubled since Sachin was selected for the India U-19 team.

- Sachin has always excelled against pace and spin. To check whether Sachin was able to perform at his best on the bounce, his coach Sheikh Azhar started placing a three-foot-long and four-foot-wide iron plate in a distant area during practice. Azhar and Das used to do fall moves. The ball was initially mounted on the Dhas. He struggled for a while, but over time his game improved.
- At the Under-19 invitational tournament in Pune, where Sachin was playing, his six-hitting skills impressed the organizers so much that they had to check his bat size to make sure he wasn’t cheating.
