Sadie Sink 'Had Never Been in Love' When She Starred in All Too Well: The Short Film

Sadie Sink learned a thing or two about herself while filming a Taylor Swift movie All Good: A Short Film.

In a new interview with Diversityactress, now 22, opened up about her experience starring in a Grammy-winning music video as a 20-year-old woman in a toxic relationship and said it awakened her own romantic life.

The video is believed to show a relationship between Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal, who were 20 and 29 respectively when they dated.

“I had never been in love at that point,” he said Stranger Things said the actress about working on the project. “I’ve never been through such an intense breakup. It was all foreign territory to me.”

Sink went on to say that she drew on her “years of research as a Swiftie” to channel her emotions for the short film, which was released in 2021 to promote an extended, 10-minute version of the song on Swift’s cover of it red album.

But the actress noted that she soon began to draw parallels between the song and her personal life, which “fueled it even more.”

“Then I thought, ‘Wow. Maybe I should work on Sadie a little bit in these areas,'” Sink said, saying that the song now “holds this incredibly nostalgic feeling for me now that I’m physically in my body. It’s too intense .”

The outlet also reported that Sink said she left the song off her playlist to chill out while filming the intense sci-fi series Stranger Things.

Last month, Sink took another trip down memory lane and recalled how Swift’s team asked him to star in a short film in an interview with Bustle. “It was very confusing at first, because I never thought of myself as someone who would even reach her desk. But I grew up on her music and was a huge fan,” she said.

Sadie Sink Filmed Only ‘One Take’ Of Dylan O’Brien’s Fight Scene In Taylor Swift’s ‘All Too Well’ Video

Sink also talked about filming the fight scene with her co-star Dylan O’Brien, saying it was “completely on the fly; I don’t remember anything I said; we only did one take.”

She continued: “I remember them hooking up our microphones and I was like, ‘Why are they making us wear a microphone?’ I thought they were just filming our mouths moving and we were going to visualize a fight in the kitchen [with music playing over it]. I just went with whatever came up in the moment. It was a crazy, fun acting game, and it happened to be in the final version.”

Now, Sink is set to star in an upcoming rock opera Odessawhich follows “a farm girl on an epic quest to recover a treasured family heirloom,” according to Deadline.
