Facts/Trivia
- He once said in an interview,
“Playing overseas changed my mentality. Different challenging wickets to bat on, facing tall, fast and lanky bowlers, and heavy outfields that were of no value to your shots. All this I learned in I haven’t played in India yet. I still have a lot to learn and experience.”
Furthermore, he added,
“My dad always said, ‘Be consistent and prove yourself time and time again’… I’m ready and waiting… and if I’m lucky, it will happen.”
- When asked once that he was the son of a legendary cricketer, he replied:
“Being the son of a legendary cricketer. It has advantages and disadvantages. I face more comparisons than pressure. People expect me to keep wickets like my father, which is humanly impossible and they Can’t understand that. I’ve always loved pressure; it brings out the best in me. The adrenaline rush is what I crave and I get that feeling outside of cricket. I get a lot of respect just because I’m the son of a famous person, and it’s overwhelming.”
