Sajid made his debut as a music director with his brother, the late Wajid Khan, in the Bollywood song “Teri Jawani” from the film Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998). Sajid-Wajid gained popularity with Sonu Nigam’s music album Deewana (1999), in which they composed music for the songs Deewaana Tera, Ab Mujhe Raat Din and Iss Kadar Pyaar Hai. Sajid-Wajid composed music for several albums including Khoya Khoya Chand (2001) and Tera Intezar (2005). Sajid and Wajid have worked as music composers for several films including Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai (2002), Gunaah (2002), Chori Chori (2003), Killer (2006), Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar (2006), Jaane Hoga Kya (2006) and Weird Ali (2016).
