Saloni Gaur (popularly known as Salonayyy) was born on Sunday, December 12, 1999 in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, India (age 23; as of 2022). Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. She attended Brandshahr Renaissance School. Subsequently, she studied Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Economics from Janki Devi Memorial College, Delhi University from 2017 to 2020. In 2017, she began making videos about social issues by imitating different characters based on real life. Her first role was as Pinky Dogra, and she frequently posts videos on Snapchat and Instagram. Later she portrayed two more characters named Kumkum and Asha Behenji. In 2019, she created a character named Nazma Aapi, which quickly became popular. She has made videos on CAA, NEET, Arnab Goswami and Sonia Gandhi, and other issues of her character Nazma Aapi.

She has also imitated many Bollywood celebrities such as Kangana Ranaut, Amitabh Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor. In a 2021 interview, she revealed that she has tried out 11 fictional characters. As of October 2023, her YouTube channel Salonayyy has over 5 million subscribers and her videos have been viewed over 3 billion times.
