Sania Mirza aka Saniya Mirza was born on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 (17 years old; as of 2022) in Jasovar village under Mirzapur Rural Police Station, Mirzapur District, Uttar Pradesh, India. Her zodiac sign is Taurus. She has been interested in learning since she was a child. She studied till class 10 at Pandit Chintamani Inter College in the village. She wanted to take admission in science course in 11th class which was not offered in the inter-college of her school so she joined Guru Nanak Girls Inter College in Mirzapur after completing 11th and 12th class , she decided to study to become a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force.

After completing her 12th flight, she found out that no women were becoming fighter pilots in the Indian Air Force (IAF) after 2015, so she decided to join the Indian Air Force (IAF) as a fighter pilot and joined the Centurions in 2017 National Defense Academy. Mirzapur. Although she failed in her first attempt to qualify for the IAF, she did not give up hope and cleared the National Defense Academy (NDA) entrance exam in her second attempt in 2022. Of the 400 seats in the NDA, only 19 are allotted to girl candidates and only 2 seats are allotted to fighter pilots. She secured 63rd rank in NDA exam and secured 2nd rank in Fighter Pilot. She said she wanted to break the myth that fighting is only for boys and hoped to set an example for girls through her success. She further said that although she studied Hindi in the Uttar Pradesh Board, she always only spoke English as a language and believed that she would be able to join the IAF. She thanked her parents and Sir Shishil Dixit of Centurion Defense Academy for their support. She joined NDA on December 27, 2022 at Khadakvasla, Pune. The Indian Air Force also issued a statement congratulating her on her success and wishing her all the best in her 4 years of training to become a fighter pilot and further serve in the Indian Air Force.
