Sanjeev Tyagi started his acting career in the theater field. He has worked on several theater productions including Devdas (2018) at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai. In this production, he played the role of ‘Chunnilal’. The 150-minute play is adapted from Sarat Chandra Chatterjee’s Bengali romance novel; Saif Haider Hassan directed the play.

Sanjeev Tyagi made his debut in the Hindi television industry with the show DD National. In 2003, he appeared in the daily soap opera “Kabhi Aaye Na Judaai” aired on StarPlus channel. Tyagi plays “Mr. “Malhotra” in the popular soap opera “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii” (2005). - Sanjeev Tyagi started acting in theater productions while in college. After spending a few years honing his theater skills, he decided to try his hand at acting in Bollywood films, for which he moved from Uttar Pradesh to Mumbai, where Sanjeev got an opportunity to appear in the show DD National, which was his TV debut. However, Tyagi also continued to act in theater productions.
- In an interview, Tyagi shared his experience of joining the TV series Crime Patrol and revealed that the opportunity came to him relatively effortlessly. He mentioned that a friend of his recommended him to join the Crime Patrol casting team. The team then contacted Tyagi and ultimately cast him for the role of inspector in the series.
