Sara Desai grew up in a small town in northern Ontario, Canada. Before becoming a full-time writer, she held various jobs—lawyer, radio DJ, marathon runner, historian, bodyguard, and librarian. She currently lives on Vancouver Island with her husband and children. She wrote her first story in third grade to enter an annual public library competition in the Northern Ontario town where she grew up.
