Love Island USA season 4 premiere episode aired on Peacock on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 9:00 PM ET. Viewers had to get used to one big change: Modern Family actress Sara Hayland replaced Arielle Vandenberg as the show’s new host. Vandenberg stepped down from hosting duties for the fourth season after hosting the previous three successful seasons. On the other hand, viewers were eagerly waiting for Arielle to host the event and expressed their displeasure on social media. One follower tweeted:
The fourth season of Love Island USA has begun, and ten islanders enter the villa in search of love. They are matched with possible companions. To be safe, they will have to engage in fascinating activities and participate in dramatic reunion sessions with high stakes and huge cash prizes at the end of the program.
Arielle Vandenberg, the former host of Love Island in the USA, explains why she is not hosting the fourth season of the popular series.
Love Island USA Season 4 premiered with a new host, Sarah Hayland. In an Instagram post on June 30, 2022, former host Arielle Vandenberg revealed the reason she left the job to the Modern Family actor. She stated:
“They hired me as the host of CBS’s Love Island and we had three amazing seasons!” Unfortunately, CBS did not renew it for a fourth season. The program has moved to Peacock, and since it’s on a different network, they’re giving it a complete makeover, with a new narrator and host.”
Arielle went on to say that she’s “really disappointed” that she won’t be able to host next season, especially because she “worked so hard to finally get there, and it was really a dream come true.” She added, however, that she’s thrilled her friend will be hosting the upcoming season and that he’s going to “slam it,” given his wonderful demeanor.
She concluded her announcement with the words:
“To recap, I just wanted to come here to express how much I’ve loved and appreciated your support over the past three seasons.” So with that said, my time on Love Island has come to an end. I have 30 minutes to collect my things and say goodbye.”

The new Love Island USA host thanked Arielle for her support and revealed exciting news about the show’s set-up. Sarah indicated in an interview with People that “things are going to be very great” in season four. She also confirmed that the audience will get the much-awaited dose of drama this year.
“It’s going to be hotter and meaner.” The challenge games will be a lot of is**y fun. And I can’t wait for everyone to meet, see and get to know each other, in order to create not only, I hope, long-lasting partnerships, but also friendships.”
Along with the new host, fans of Love Island USA will also get a new narrator. However, the narrator is none other than the great Iain Stirling, who also narrates the British version of the series. He took over for Matthew Hoffman as narrator in season 4 and quickly became a fan favorite thanks to his catchy voice.
