THE DAD of 10-year-old Sarah Sharif’s killer had her throat slashed in prison with the jagged lid of a tuna can.
Two inmates ambushed Urfan Sharif, 43, in his cell at the strict HMP Belmarsh in south London.

He was attacked on New Year’s Day, just a few weeks after receiving a life sentence for the murder of the innocent Sarah.
Sharif was lucky to survive and remains in a bad condition in the prison hospital, sources said.
The couple were sickened by his abuse of Sarah, who was beaten, burned and bitten for two years before her death in August 2023.
They used a jagged tuna tin lid in an ambush at HMP Belmarsh, south London, on New Year’s Day – just weeks into Sharif’s life expectancy of at least 40 years.
The source said: “Urfan was badly cut in the cell by the other two who rushed in. It was planned and they used an improvised weapon — made from the lid of a tuna can.
“He was cut on the neck and face, he is still in medical care and in a very bad condition.
“He was lucky to survive, he needed stitches and will have scars as a permanent reminder of the attack. Security guards tried to protect him because he clearly had a target on his back after the case was such a big news story.
“Something like this was always planned, and the attack was probably only a matter of time.
“Sharif has been trying to keep his head down since coming to prison, but word quickly got out about who he was.
“The prisoners were not happy that he was there with them and, although the other prisoners were convicted of heinous crimes, many of them do not like people who attack children.

“A lot of them say it couldn’t have happened to a more deserving guy.”
The police were called to investigate. Belmarsh Category A houses a large number of murderers and terrorists, including Ali Harbi Ali, the killer of MP David Amess.
Other prisoners include Grindr Killer Stephen Port, Night Stalker rapist Delroy Grant and Danyal Hussein, who killed two sisters in a London park.
Sharif was jailed last month along with Sara’s stepmother Beinash Batool (30) and uncle Faisal Malik (29).
Sarah’s biological mother Olga Domin, 38, lost a court battle to keep her daughter from Sharif, who used EU rules to stay in the UK and defrauded social services.

The trial at the Old Bailey heard Sara suffered multiple injuries and was forced to wear a hijab to cover them – despite no other family members wearing Islamic clothing.

Authorities missed at least 15 opportunities to place her in a safe home.
Batool often called the taxi driver Sharif from work saying that Sara was mean, knowing that he would beat her up.
He choked Sarah and beat her with a cricket bat and a metal pole, sometimes binding her hands and feet with duct tape.

Unsurprisingly, the rough-and-tumble Urfan Sharif is being targeted just weeks after his life sentence.
The scum attacked Sara’s daughter with a cricket bat and a metal pole, burned her with an iron and strangled her. He even forced her to wear a diaper and sit in her own urine and feces for hours.
Sharif is believed to have jet-washed the 10-year-old’s body. Nothing could have prepared me for watching a father admit to the torture he put his own daughter through.
He still couldn’t bring himself to confess to the murder.
I watched as Sharif spent six days lying on the witness stand. He pretended to be the innocent victim of a “psycho” woman, Beinash Batool.
True, she is a psychopath. And he is worse than a monster.
He abused three previous partners before taking his anger out on his girlfriend.
It was clear that he never cared about Sara either when she was alive or dead.
Now no one but the prison guards can watch over him.
An autopsy revealed that Sara had suffered 25 fractures and 71 external injuries, including bite marks and iron burns.
Sharif left a note next to her body that read: “Whoever sees this message, I am Urfan Sharif who beat my daughter to death.”
The criminal fled to East Pakistan with Batool and Malik.
The trio, plus Sarah’s five siblings, were found sheltering with family and brought back to the UK following an Interpol operation.
Last month, Sharif was found guilty of murder and sentenced to at least 40 years in prison.
Batool was sentenced to a minimum sentence of 33 years after he was also found guilty of murder. Malik, who lived with the couple, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for causing or allowing the death of a child.
During the trial, Sharif blamed the attacks on “evil psychopath” Batool before dramatically admitting to hitting Sara with a cricket bat and a pole and eventually killing her.
After the case, Olga labeled her daughter’s killers “bloodthirsty” and said Sharif had manipulated the police and social services for years.
And she said: “It took the death of my little girl for people to realize that he is evil.”
In her impact statement, Olga told Sharif and Batool: “You are sadists, even though this word is not enough for you. I would say you are executioners.”
Sara lived with Olga since 2015, but a court hearing four years later decided that she should stay with her father.

Olga told The Sun after the murder trial: “So many women tried but our voices were never heard because he manipulated everyone.
“I have never hurt my children. He lied and lied and my daughter was handed over to death.”
The Old Bailey judge, Mr. Justice Cavanagh said Sara had suffered “unimaginable pain, misery and anguish” in the repeated attacks that led to her death.
Last night the Prison Service said: “Police are investigating an assault on a prisoner at HMP Belmarsh on January 1.
“It would be inappropriate to comment while they are investigating.”
A Met spokesman said police were investigating “an allegation that a prisoner was assaulted in Belmarsh”.
He added: “The 43-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries.”

JANUARY 2013: Sara is placed under a child protection plan at birth as Urfan Sharif is accused of assaulting three women, including her mother, as well as hitting and biting two children.
But she was allowed to stay with her father.
FEBRUARY 22, 2013: A month after Sarah’s birth, social services and the police were told that Sharif had slapped the child in the face.
Nothing was done.
MAY 7, 2013: A social worker noticed a burn on a child’s leg.
Sharif did not report the incident and claimed it was a barbecue accident. Nothing was done.
OCTOBER 7, 2013: A child was seen with a burn caused by a household iron.
Sharif told social services that the child ran into the device.
No action was taken.
2013 TO 2014: The child told the social worker that Sharif broke the TV and hit Sara’s mother, Olga.
NOVEMBER 2014: Sara was accepted into a foster family after the child told a social worker about the bite mark.
But she later returned to live with her father after a family court hearing in October 2019, where social services recommended that Sara live with her father because that was her wish.
JANUARY 2015: Sharif was reported to social services for brandishing a knife in what he said was a zombie game at home.
Social workers noticed that Sharif was hitting and kicking Olga at home and threatened to kill himself.
FEBRUARY 2015: The child told their foster carer that Sharif used to hit them on the bottom with a belt.
In September of that year, the child was heard saying to Sharif: “When you’re at home, you hit and kick me every day.”
2015: Olga told social services that Sharif tightened a belt around her neck.
Around this time, social workers complained that Sharif was being coercive and degrading towards them.
Then a male social worker was appointed to the family.
DECEMBER 2016: The child told the social worker that he did not like Sharif because he hit them all over the body and left them with a lot of bruises.
Social workers saw Sara flinch when Sharif told her during supervised contact and appeared surprised when he fondled her.
6 JUNE 2022: Sara was reported by a teacher to have a bruise under her eye, using the school’s online child protection monitoring system.
Sara didn’t want to say what happened at first, before later saying she was hit by another child.
But the social service was not contacted.
MARCH 10, 2023: The teacher saw the bruises on Sarah’s face.
Sara said she fell on roller skates.
When she gave another story about the guard, the school referred social services.
Six days later, social services decided not to take any further steps.
It is understood that at this point there has been no contact between social services and Sara’s family for four years.
Social services categorized this case as second priority and requested information from other agencies.
When nothing came back, the case was closed.
MARCH 20, 2023: A report was logged in the school’s internal system after Sarah’s stepmother Beinash Batool overheard her calling the children “mother, f***ing sister, cu**** and whore” on the playground.
But no details were passed on to social services.
MARCH 28, 2023: Batool claimed that the mark on Sara’s face was caused by a pencil.
The teacher told the school guard.
APRIL 17, 2023: Sharif has decided to homeschool Sara.
School staff called the council for advice and were told they should provide a referral if there were any concerns.
The staff saw Sara later that day on the school drop off and she seemed fine so they decided to drop it, even though she had been beaten up earlier that day.
She was never seen outside the house again.
