Sarah Jessica Parker has shared her reaction to Kim Cattrall’s cameo in …And Just Like That. The couple publicly split a few years ago after Kim refused to reprise her role in the planned, but ultimately unrealized, Sex and the City 3 movie.
Although the pair did not film their scenes together, Sarah said it was “fun and exciting” to bring the old members back. Speaking to MailOnline: “We really thought about how we reached out to characters that weren’t there, how we invited the actors back. It was really fun, exciting and definitely nostalgic, but I think more than that, it’s a lot of fun.”

Kristen Davis, who plays Charlotte, also spoke about the situation, saying, “I don’t know if we’re even trying to end or settle at this point. I think we just thought, this is the cause. And we know that people miss him and Carrie, and it would be nice to have a little bit of her. That’s what we wanted, and then I thought maybe hope did. It went up in smoke, maybe more. And that was not our intention. So I hope people won’t be disappointed.”

Cynthia Nixon, who plays Miranda, also spoke about Kim’s return to Vanity Fair, saying, “I read it in the script… It’s not really what we’re talking about, but I’ll try to present it. brief.” Speaking of filming scenes without Kim, she said, “It feels very different. A lot of things feel different. But the main thing that feels great is that all the people there really wanted to be there. That’s the point.”

Kim Cattrall has revealed that she has been contacted by the head of HBO to ask what she will need to reprise her role as Samantha Jones. Chatting on The View, host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked Kim what she could say about the cameo so far, and she said, “Well, it’s been interesting to get a call from the chief. HBO… said, ‘What can we do?’ I said, ‘Hmmm,'” adding, “Let me be creative.”

Patricia Field is the costume designer, who directed Sex and the City’s original wardrobe, and is responsible for countless iconic looks. While the first season of And Just Like That is in production, she’s been busy working on the wardrobe for Netflix’s Emily in Paris.
