Sarah Snook Celebrates Triumphant Broadway Opening with Husband Dave Lawson and Succession Costars

Sarah Snook had one debut on Broadway.

Emmy’s won actress, 37, Thursday, March 27, was a toast of the city, as Picture Dorian Gray – Water adaptation of the writers of the Williams statue from Roman Oscar Wilde of 1890 – opened for great recognition at The Music Box Theater in New York.

The photographers were taken by a smiling snook while leading the celebratory bow after appearing on the tour, along with a crew of stage handles that help her revive the story of a young man who traded her soul for eternal youth.

Snook, 37, is the only one acting Picture Dorian Gray – Although she is not in production alone.

She plays 26 characters during a two -hour game, using a combination of fast costume changes and sharp acting choices to distinguish all of them. They were then presented through incredible live and projected appearances, caught up with an intricate choreographed collection of cameras on stage, skillfully moving in action.

The result is not magical, as people experienced while sitting in the audience at the opening of the night, along with stars like Ariane Debose, Constance Wu, Chris Perfetti, Christine Baran, Cynthia Nixon, Ben McKenzie, Morena Baccarin, Christine Lahti, Leslie Rodriguez Krituz and Dorinda.

More than once throughout the show, the crowd broke out in applause and sighed “How did they do that?” During imaginative scenes, every moment fantastic than the last one.

Snook herself received an exciting standing ovation after the show, as well as visionary director Kip Williams, who joined the star at the opening of the red carpet in advance (and on stage after the performance).

After that, everyone headed to the opening night in Gotham Hall to dinner and dance the evening.

Supporting Snook were many of her Heritage Costars, Incluidng Juliana Canfield, Fisher Stevens, David Rasche, Natalie Gold, Zoe Winters, Peter Friedman, Arian Moayed and Sydney Lemmon. A group that all posed together for sweet photography.

Kieran Culkin stopped. Missed the performance, as currently on Broadway in his own production Glenarry Glen Rossbut later he swung.

Before the show, Culkin also pulled a surprise from his car as he lowered his wife Jazz Charton on Snook’s premiere, while on his way to his theater.

Comedian Dave Lawson, Snook’s husband, was also at the exhibition. Two longtime friends were secretly married during the Coid-19 pandemia, after falling in love with them as they closed in early 2020. The couple divides the daughter, who was greeted in 2023.

Picture Dorian Gray It contains stage design Marg Horwell, a costume design of Marg Horwell, Nick Schlieper’s lighting design, Clemence Williams’ sound design and David Bergman’s video design. Mary Hamrick (associated Scenic Design), Karen Spahn (collaborative lighting design), Daniel Vatsky (associated video design), Alex Brock (assistant speeches), Jaechelle Johnson (assistant sound design) and Alyssa Eilbott (Moving Light Prograp) round out the creative team.

Developed by Sydney Theater Company, the play premiered in Australia in 2020, and twice stretched in Sydney before visiting the content. Snook previously starred in a play at Theater Royal Haymarket in London, winning the Olivier Award for his work in it.

There is a good chance that she will find a similar success to the Tony 2025 Award. The nominitons goes out on May 1.
