Sarika Jhunjhunwala’s father Om Prakash Jindal is a businessman and the chairman of Jindal organization. OP Jindal served as Power Minister in the Government of Haryana in 2005. He died in a helicopter crash on March 31, 2005.
Sarika’s mother Savitri Devi Jindal was a businesswoman and Indian National Congress politician. Savitri took over as president of the Jindal organization after the death of her husband. In 2023, Savitri was named the richest woman in India.
Sarika is one of eight siblings. Naveen Jindal is a Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha Member, Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Limited (formerly Jindal Strips Limited), Chancellor of OP Jindal Global University and an industrialist.
