- In an interview, she said that as a child she used to pay attention to the people around her and pick up their accents. She also added that her brothers often teased her for imitating other people’s accents.
- She has been interested in entertainment since she was a child. She attended dance classes when she was four years old. At the age of sixteen, she realized she wanted to be an actress.
- While she was studying acting at Queen’s University, she acted in films made by her friends as part of their projects. She said in an interview that her first job in the film industry was a job translating scripts given to her by a university professor.
- She made her first film, Mississippi Marsala, when she was twenty-three. She wanted to further her studies, but she didn’t get the chance because she took on so many ace roles.
