Satish Jarkiholi is an Indian politician, businessman and social worker. He has been a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly (MLA) since 2008 and has served as a minister in different state governments of Karnataka. He is famous for his propaganda campaigns against Hindu superstition.

Satish Laxmanrao Jarkiholi was born on Friday, June 1, 1962 in Gokak, Belgaum, Karnataka, India (Age 61; as of 2023) . His zodiac sign is Gemini. Although they belong to different political parties, they share a deep brotherhood and always try their best to ensure that one of them remains in the government.

He is the president of Kalyan Rajya, an anti-superstition movement in Karnataka, and the president of Manava Bandhutva Vedike, an anti-superstition organization.

He entered politics in 1992 while serving as director of Belagavi District Central Cooperative Bank. He won the MLC election from Belgaum district local government constituency twice between 1998 and 2008. He was a member of the Janata Dal until 1999, when he joined the Janata Dal (Secular) (JD-S) and remained a member of the organization until 2005.
In 2006, he joined the Indian National Congress (INC). He has been a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing Yemakanmardi constituency since 2008. On March 11, 2020, he became the working president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC).

Lost an election for the first time.

Comments on the word “Hindu”
In November 2022, a video went viral in which he said that the word “Hindu” has a very dirty meaning and is of Persian origin. He later claimed that there should be a discussion on the term Hinduism and its origins.
