Sauraseni Maitra was born on Tuesday, April 13, 1993, in Kolkata (27 years old in 2020). Her star sign is Aries. She attended Ballygunge Shiksha Sadan School, Kolkata and Carmel High School, Kolkata. She studied at the University of Calcutta for further studies.

Profession
She started her modeling career at the age of eight. She has walked in various fashion shows. Her first fashion show was for the brand Pantaloons. In grade nine, she acted in the Bengali film Chittagong (2012). While in college, she acted in the Bengali film Umrika (2016). She came into the limelight for her role in a commercial directed by Bengali film director Anik Dutta, which also featured Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone.
In an interview, she shared her initial experiences as an actress and model, she said,
I loved modelling since my childhood and had participated in Hau Mau Khau. Although I didn’t win any awards, the production company later cast me in many advertising campaigns. I modelled for almost every magazine, newspaper, etc. since class 9. My parents were very supportive but they told me not to overdo it so as not to affect my studies. My wife didn’t agree at first but later, when my parents explained things to her, she calmed down. I made my film debut with Prashant Nair’s Chittagong and then acted in his film Umrika. That’s when I got interested in acting.”
She has acted in many films including Generation Ami (2018), Byomkesh Gotro (2018), Finally Bhalobasha (2019) and Synthetic Sati (2019).
In 2020, she appeared in Zee5’s original web series Lalbazaar, in which she played the role of Mira.

Makeup and beauty tips: I do a basic cleansing, toning, and moisturizing routine. I also apply warm coconut oil and use a waterless shampoo. I don’t wear makeup and don’t have any foundation or blush at home. When I go out, I only wear a dark lipstick and sunscreen.”

It was great because I have always been a huge fan of his. I grew up listening to his songs and watching his films. I had not acted opposite him in Aami Ashbo Phirey or Byomkesh Gowtro. This time I was paired with him. I was definitely a bit nervous in the beginning; however, once we were on set, everything became very easy.”
