Guthrie previously told PEOPLE that her relationship with her children and her role as a mother is a bonding element between her and others Today anchor Hoda Kotb.
“We talk a lot about being older moms, being in our 50s, but having small kids, and that has its downsides, but we both definitely feel like it gives you perspective and makes you calmer as parents,” she shared.
“It’s so unusual and so wonderful to have someone who’s your co-worker and who’s not only a mom, but also a mom to kids almost the same age,” she continued. “And so we’re kind of going through a lot of the same things at the same time.”
