Savannah Guthrie's Kids Smile as They Open Easter Baskets and Celebrate Holiday as a Family: 'Oh Happy Day'

Savannah Guthrie spent a fun Easter with her two little ones.

The Today The co-host of the show, 52, enjoyed the holiday with her husband Michael Feldman and their two children – son Charley, 7, and daughter Vala, 9.

The family of four posed together on the sidewalk for a sweet photo to start the day. Later, the family got cozy at home and the mum-of-two shared a video of her children opening their Easter baskets and enjoying the contents.

“Oh happy day 🌸,” she captioned the photos shared on her Instagram.

Savannah Guthrie has Mother-Daughter Day with Vale, 9, on Broadway & Juliet: ‘My Little Broadway Star’

Last month, Guthrie spoke to PEOPLE about being “grateful” for everything that’s been a part of her journey — including becoming a mom later in life.

“I’m so grateful for my blessings. I really can’t get over it — I’ll never get over it,” she told PEOPLE exclusively. “I had to have children long after the time when anyone would really hope, [and] I gave up hope a long time ago.”

Stating that she was “so thrilled and overjoyed” to have her two children, Guthrie continued: “I’m so grateful, but I always mean to talk about that, too, because we all have times in our lives when we don’t feel like what we wanted happened. happens, or we don’t feel we’ve been blessed.”

“My life has been so surprising and wonderful, because there were times when I didn’t think there was much hope for me,” she concluded.

Guthrie also told PEOPLE that her two children are “coming into their own personalities” right now, noting, “But the biggest thing is that they are who they are.”

“They are stronger and more confident, more confident and empathetic,” she continued. “And I just think they’re amazing creatures.”

“I am so happy to be their mom,” she added. “It’s such a learning experience.”
