Tommy Smith, formerly Savannah LaBrant, passed away on September 9, 2022. Smith was the biological father of Savannah’s 10-year-old daughter, Everleigh. Savannah, now married to Cody LaBrant, has been open about raising Everleigh with Smith. Savannah LaBrant posted this photo of Smith and Everleigh to her Instagram account on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. She captioned the post:
“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the passing of Everleigh’s father, Tommy.” He was fascinated by Everleigh. We respectfully ask for privacy during this terrible time so that our family can continue to love, pray, and grieve with Eva. “Thank you so much for praying for Everleigh.”
Tommy Smith’s girlfriend, Coutney Santaella, also took to social media to mourn the passing of her partner of 29 years. She sent photo and video slideshows of the two having fun together. Santaella said in the caption that Smith was “suddenly brought to Jesus.” Tommy’s sister, Amber, also announced her brother’s death on her Facebook page. The Smith family has yet to release an official cause of death.

Thomas Walter “Tommy” Smith is a California native who works for Khandroo Designs, an architecture and design firm. Previously he worked in Inter-Sky engineering. Smith has amassed a significant following on social media thanks to his relationship with Savannah LaBrant, the matriarch of The LaBrant Fam, a family of YouTubers based in California. He has more than 97,300 followers on Instagram, where he posts pictures of his daily life and raising his daughter Everleigh. Smith loves the outdoors and has always been present in his daughter’s life, according to his social media posts. Between 2012 and 2016, Tommy Smith and Savannah LaBrant dated and then shut down. At the time of writing, Smith’s cause of death has not been made public. However, TiKToker @daisyjanewood told followers that Tommy Smith died of a drug-related seizure, according to sources. She claimed online that Smith and his companion from Alcoholics Anonymous had accidentally ingested fentanyl, which resulted in seizures and cardiac arrest. It’s worth noting that the official autopsy report has not been released, so these claims remain unproven.
