I didn’t receive love letters and as a child I felt hopeless about life. I started playing guitar and people started noticing me. This was the beginning of my discovery of self-love. But I struggled a lot. ”

I was so insecure that I wanted to have a fair child. I couldn’t accept the fact that all children would go through something because of the color of their skin. After giving birth, one of the first things I asked my doctor was her color. I didn’t ask if the child was a boy or a girl. I want to know if my kids are being fair. Looking back, I feel very sorry for her and myself because I was conditioned to think that way. No one should have to go through this. Every teenage girl should be proud of her body. My baby girl is growing up and I want her to be confident. ”
