Sayeed Quadri was born on Monday, October 3, 1960 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan (age 62; as of 2022). After completing his studies, he moved to Mumbai in 1986 to pursue a career as a lyricist in the Hindi film industry. However, after seven years without finding a job, he decided to return to his hometown. Ten years later, he moved again to Mumbai and established himself as a successful lyricist in the Hindi film industry.

Sayeed Quadri first made his mark in the Hindi film industry as a lyricist in the film Jism (2003), in which he composed three songs. In the same year, he composed all the songs for the film Saaya. In 2004, he composed 4 songs for the movie “Murder”, among which the songs “Bheege Honth Tere” and “Kaho Na Kaho” became super hits and remained at the top of the music, radio and streaming charts for a long time.
In 2006, he composed three songs “Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai”, “Ya Ali” and “Mujhe Mat Roko” for the movie “Gangster”. His song “Maula Mere Maula” for the film Anwar (2007) was well received by the audience.

- He has loved writing poetry since he was a child and started writing poetry in the eighth grade.
- Before becoming a successful lyricist, he worked as an LIC agent in Jodhpur, Rajasthan for nearly 10 years.
- In an interview, he talked about his debut song and said that when he was not working, he often walked out of the house and during that time he wrote a poem “Awaarpan Banjarapan” which later became his ‘s debut song was featured in the film “Jism” (2003).
