The father-of-one was charged with violent disorder after he allegedly joined a group of 200 people who threw missiles at riot police outside a hotel for asylum seekers in Aldershot, Hants, on July 31.

Eleven other adults and a 13-year-old girl have also been charged over the disturbance at the Potters International Hotel, where a police officer was injured.

Police visited his home in Farnham, Hants, last Friday to charge him with violent disorder after he was identified using CCTV and social media footage.

The court heard the BMX and dirt bike enthusiast was initially released on bail for a date in November, with his first court hearing scheduled for today.

Instead, the company director went on a seven-night holiday in the UAE — leaving the UK on Sunday.

His lawyer, Anna Renou, told the court she had seen documents confirming the trip was booked before his alleged offences.

District Judge Tim Pattinson strongly condemned the accused rioter for flying to the United Arab Emirates instead of surrendering to court.

He told Ms Reno: “To say these are serious matters is an understatement.

“They have attracted national attention at the highest level.

“It is my opinion that it is not acceptable for your client not to appear in court.”

He continued: “This appears to be a flagrant disregard of a valid court order.

“He did not make any proper preparations to seek permission to terminate.”

It means the alleged rioter faces arrest on the airport tarmac after landing in the UK.

He will probably be detained and will have to explain to the court why he decided to flee the country.
