Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost are leaving the cooking to the pros this Thanksgiving.
The Fly me to the moon actress opened up to Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos about how her family will be leaving the house this Turkey Day on the Nov. 26 episode Living with Kelly and Mark.
“So this year we’re actually going to a restaurant. We haven’t done that before,” the Black widow the star said, explaining that her problem with being home for Thanksgiving isn’t really the cooking. “Every year I feel like it’s me and my father-in-law and we’re both doing half the dishes. And I don’t want anyone to feel obligated to clean up.”
Johansson, who was on the show to promote her skincare line, The Outset, continued: “I feel very lucky that we can go to a restaurant and enjoy ourselves.”
The crew will need a big reservation, given the number of guests: “Colin and I have big families — they all have kids, lots of siblings, Colin’s parents, all of that,” Johansson said.

Johansson i Saturday night live the star has two children: son Cosmo (3) and daughter Rosa Dorothy (10), whom she shares with ex-husband Romain Dauriac.

Ripa and Consuelos helped Johansson figure out what to do with the time saved by not being the ones preparing, serving and cleaning. “We should be doing restaurant trivia instead of cooking,” the actress exclaimed after the co-hosts quizzed her on Thanksgiving-themed questions. “We have time to deal with the little things, not to wash the dishes.”
A few years ago, Johansson revealed Jost’s failure to cook Turkey Day, and the comedian responded with his dismay at her review of the dessert.
While competing on Defeated Bobby Flay in the fall of 2022. Jost jokingly said, “Yeah, we had pie. She continued Kelly and Ryan and she’s like ‘He made this pie, and it was very tasty’. And she says ‘and he spent about four days on it.’ I spent the morning! It hasn’t been four days. It’s not like a psycho. This woman, you say, is so great…”
