In 1999, at the age of 22, Schauna Chauhan joined her father’s business “Parle Argo” as Executive Director. She took over her father’s business and became CEO in 2006. She is always trying to find innovative ways to cut costs and expand the business. In 2016, she set up a manufacturing facility with highly automated facilities in Uttarakhand. She said of this in an interview:
Is it a factory designed with optimal manufacturing processes? We also have a strong focus on streamlining the business through the use of automation. “
In 2018, she set up an automated manufacturing factory in Mysore, Karnataka, to expand business in southern India. When she took charge of the company, it had seven manufacturing units; however, she managed to increase the company’s manufacturing units to 13 by 2022. She also oversees the company’s operations abroad, including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates.
