Haryana School Holiday: The Government of Haryana has declared an official holiday on September 7, 2023, the auspicious day of Janmashtami. Previously, the holiday was announced for September 6. However, there has been a slight change in the non-working day, Janmashtami is celebrated on both days this year. Thus, there is confusion about holiday non-working days.

The Chief Secretary has issued a notification announcing the Janmashtami holiday on September 7, 2023. According to the latest notification, all schools, colleges and educational institutions across the state will remain closed on that date.

The official notification reads: “It is hereby notified that Thursday 7th September will be observed as an official holiday in the Departments/Boards/Corporations, Educational and other institutions under the Government of Haryana due to the festival of “Janmashtami instead of Wednesday 6th September. ”

This year, Janmashtami is celebrated in several states on September 6 and in others on September 7. Different schools announce holidays at their own discretion. In Bihar, schools have been ordered to remain closed tomorrow: September 6, 2023.

School holidays in September 2023: Eid-e-Milad, Ganesh Chaturthi among important occasions

Meanwhile, there are some other upcoming occasions like G-20 summit, Ganesh Chaturthi and Eid-e-Milad. Schools in Delhi will remain closed from 8-10 September 2023 for the G-20 summit. While Ganesh Chaturthi and Eid-e-Milad will be celebrated on September 19 and September 28, 2023. Parents and students can get in touch with the school authorities regarding the holidays.
