Winter Holidays in Delhi: The Education Authority has announced winter holidays for schools in Delhi. As announced, the winter holiday was reduced from 15 to six days. As per the revised vacation dates, winter vacation for Delhi schools will begin on January 1, 2024.
Earlier, the winter holidays were scheduled from 1st to 15th January 2024. But to ensure that the poor air quality in Delhi does not adversely affect the students, a part of the holidays has been announced from 9th to 18th November 2023. The remaining part of the winter holidays for the 2023-24 academic year is now scheduled for January 1-6, 2024.
School principals are instructed to follow the instructions and inform the teaching and non-teaching staff, students and parents.
Schools in Delhi were closed in November due to poor air quality. Schools were closed from November 9 to 18, 2023. According to a notice issued at the time, the long vacation was to be considered an early winter break for students. Schools also conducted classes for students in online mode so that learning would not be hampered by the previously announced holidays.
