Schools in Delhi are closed today in Shahadra, Civil Lines area

Delhi’s MCD schools in Shahadra area were closed today due to flooding due to rising water level of Yamuna river. About 10 schools in the lowlands of the MCD Delhi Civil Boundary and 7 schools in Shahadra were closed today. On July 12, the water level of the Yamuna River rose to a record 207.83 meters, breaking the all-time record of 207.49 meters set 45 years ago.

Schools in UP, Uttarakhand closed because of Kanwar Yatra

Amid rising Yamuna water levels, schools in Uttarakhand and some parts of UP will remain closed from July 10-17 because of Kanwar Yatra. This includes 1st to 12th grade schools and Anganwadi centres. While in Muzzafarnagar, all government and private educational institutions have been ordered to close from 8 to 16 July 2023.
