See Which Ex of Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner Will Officiate His Upcoming Wedding to Theresa Nist

Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner and his fiancee Theresa Nist didn’t have to look far when it came to finding an officiant for their Golden Wedding.

On Tuesday, ABC announced that fan favorite Susan Noles — who has been a wedding officiant for more than a decade and appeared on the inaugural season of ABC’s dating series — will preside over the live televised ceremony, which airs on ABC on Thursday.

“Who better to host #TheGoldenWedding than the one and only @thesusannoles?” read the Golden Bachelor’s Instagram message alongside a photo of the trio. “Don’t miss her in her element Thursday at 8/7c on ABC. Stream on Hulu!”

Noles also shared the news on social media, writing, “I guess the secret is out! I’m hosting a GOLDEN WEDDING 💒 and I’m beyond excited!! @goldenbachabc”

She posted the clip – which was set to Bruno Mars’ “Marry You” – in which she reveals to her daughter that she will be officiating on the big day.

“FaceTime with my daughter telling her I’m officiating the wedding,” she captioned the video, adding in the caption, “I guess the secret’s out! I’m hosting a GOLDEN WEDDING 💒 and I’m beyond excited!! @goldenbachabc”

“Oh, I’m definitely going to do the bouquet toss,” Nist said, before adding with a laugh, “There’s a lot of women who want to catch that bouquet.”

Her fiancé added, “So true.”

“I’m sorry!” Nist shared, apologizing for the comment — a disingenuous reference to the 20 other women who vied for her fiance’s heart on national television in the inaugural season Bachelor spinoff show. “I think we’re going to do all the traditional things you normally do at a wedding.”

In addition to the Noles, fans may see some familiar faces from Bachelor Nation at the ceremony, Nist teased. “You’ll probably see them,” she said, though she kept her cards close to her chest.

“We won’t tell you who, but you will see some,” she added.

Nist has been open about her desire for the other women who dated Turner on the show to attend their wedding.

During a For Your Consideration panel at The Times Center in New York in December, the former financial services professional confirmed that all the other candidates had been invited to the wedding, although she wasn’t sure who would be attending.

She also previously specifically mentioned the season’s runner-up, Leslie Fhima, as she told Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt at their Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, “I would invite Leslie. I don’t know if she would come.”

She also listed Edith Aguirre, Pamela Burns, Peggy Dercole, Ellen Goltzer, Renee Halverson-Wright, Sandra Mason and Sylvia Robledo as other ladies she would want there on her big day.

Turner added Anna Zalk to the list, as Nist said, “I talk to Anna all the time.”
